Our Mission

Built on over a decade of research, Contoro Robotics is a spin-off of Harmonic Bionics, a medical device company commercializing robotics for rehabilitation. Recognizing that the adoption of industrial robots has been hampered by high acquisition costs and complex AI training, founder and CEO Dr. Youngmok Yun has a mission to make robotic automation widely accessible. Today, Contoro delivers robotic solutions for the warehousing and logistics industries that are affordable, reliable, and highly adaptable.

Over 25 million overseas shipping containers enter the United States every year, each unloaded manually, box-by-box, with back breaking labor that can be both expensive and unreliable. Contoro Robotics provides a turnkey solution for the repetitive task of container unloading at a lower cost than traditional warehouse manual labor. Contoro‘s patented and unique “Human-in-the-Loop” robotic teleoperation technology fast tracks the AI training of our robots, enables quick resolution of anomalies, and lowers overall operational costs.
